ELECTRIC VEHICLES

EV Range Estimator

Use your observed consumption and usable battery capacity to estimate travel distance. Weather, terrain, speed and battery health can change actual range.

Use your own values for a meaningful estimate.

How this calculation works

Available kWh = usable capacity × (current SOC − reserve SOC) ÷ 100. Range (km) = available kWh ÷ (kWh/100 km) × 100.

Worked example

A 64 kWh usable pack at 80% charge with 10% reserve has 44.8 kWh available. At 18 kWh/100 km, estimated driving range is about 249 km.

Frequently asked questions

Does range estimate reflect degradation?

Only if you enter actual usable capacity adjusted for the condition of your battery.

Can I use manufacturer range ratings?

Ratings follow test cycles. Real-world consumption is more relevant for trip planning.
